Flexx two ICU | Transport trolley for ventilated patients

This innovative transport trolley for ventilated patients is specially designed for the safe and efficient internal transport of critical patients within a hospital. The trolley can be equipped with all essential medical equipment, such as a patient monitor, ventilator with gas cylinders (oxygen and compressed air), infusion pumps, and a suction pump, allowing the patient's treatment to continue uninterrupted during transfers.

A smart automatic switching system for the gas supply ensures that the ventilator seamlessly switches between the wall connection and the gas cylinders. This keeps the cylinders full for transport and they are only used when necessary, for example, in elevators or in places without a gas connection.

The trolley can be physically coupled to various patient carriers, including an ICU bed, stretcher, or mobile operating table. The vertically sliding coupling system allows for coupling at different heights, regardless of the variations in coupling points on the beds. The adjustable coupling pins guarantee compatibility with various types of beds and stretchers, and coupling and uncoupling is simple and fast.

An important feature is the compact design, which is optimized to prevent problems with limited elevator space. This makes the transport of patients, even with a coupled bed, considerably easier throughout the hospital.

What exactly is the ICU Transport Trolley used for?
This trolley is used for the safe and efficient transfer of ventilated patients within a hospital, for example, from the ICU to the OR or the X-ray department. The goal is that all necessary medical equipment can continue to function during transport.

What medical equipment can be placed on the trolley?
The trolley can be equipped with essential equipment such as a patient monitor, a ventilator including oxygen and compressed air cylinders, infusion pumps, a suction pump with suction pots, etc. Jansen Medicars is happy to discuss an optimal configuration to meet all requirements and wishes.

How does the trolley ensure that the gas supply remains continuous during transport?
The trolley can be equipped with an automatic switching system for the gas supply. This system always chooses the inlet with the highest pressure, which means that the ventilator automatically switches from the wall connection to the gas cylinders (and vice versa) when the trolley is coupled to or uncoupled from a wall connection. The pressure of the cylinders is set slightly lower than that of the wall connection, so that the wall connection always has priority.

Why is the wall connection primarily used for gas?
The wall connection is used to keep the gas cylinders full. This ensures that the cylinders are always available for transport or situations where no wall connection is available.
To which patient carriers can the trolley be coupled? The trolley can be physically coupled to various patient carriers, such as an ICU bed (in the ICU or MC), a stretcher (in the ER), or a mobile operating table (in the OR).

How is compatibility with different beds and stretchers guaranteed, given the varying coupling points?
The coupling on the trolley (the bed hook) is designed as a vertically sliding system, which allows it to be coupled at different heights. In addition, multiple adjustable coupling pins can be mounted on the bed hook. These pins can be adjusted by the user to fit the different coupling points (in terms of distance and diameter) of various ICU beds, stretchers, and OR tables.

Is coupling and uncoupling the trolley to a bed complicated?
No, coupling and uncoupling is simple. The bed hook is lifted and placed into or removed from the designated holes of the ICU bed or stretcher.

How does the trolley handle tight spaces, such as elevators? The trolley's design explicitly takes into account the most compact setup possible. This solves the common problem that the trolley with the coupled bed is too long to fit into cramped elevators, ensuring smooth transport throughout the hospital.
