Cart for Pacemaker & ICD Programmers
Reading and programming pacemakers and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs) requires specific equipment, with each manufacturer (such as Medtronic, St. Jude, Boston Scientific, Biotronik, ElaMedical, and Sorin) supplying its own programmer. This often results in the presence of multiple programmers in one treatment room. To facilitate switching between these devices and to create an organized, safe, and ergonomic workspace, we offer specially configured carts.
These carts are based on our modular concept and meet the strictest standards for medical electrical devices (NEN/EN/IEC 60601-1). They are equipped with an isolation transformer, which allows all programmers to be safely switched on simultaneously.
Our solutions
We offer various basic trolleys, each with unique advantages, which can be configured completely to your needs.
The Flexx two 2G: This is the most commonly used base for this application (including the Flexx two 2G 43-100 and Flexx two 2G 43-150). This cart is ideal for a compact setup with a flexible configuration of shelves and accessories.
The Flexx three 2G: For situations where there is a need for a setup for a large number of programmers (4 to 6), the Flexx three 2G is an excellent choice. This wider trolley offers the possibility of placing two programmers next to each other, which provides a more ergonomic working height than the Flexx two 2G when two or more programmers are used. The choice therefore depends on the available space and the ergonomic requirements.
The Crozz two 2G 430: This trolley is an option if a lockable rear door is desired, which contributes to better protection and hygiene. This cart can also be equipped with (long) monitor arms.
The programmers are placed on pull-out shelves, the height of which can be determined during installation. The top shelf is a fixed shelf that can also be used for placing programmers. The modular design makes it possible to supplement the trolley with various accessories such as holders, drawers, and even patch panels.
Integration of data management
For the digital generation and management of data from pacemakers and ICDs, our trolley can be integrated with systems such as those from Spike Medical Solutions (www.spike-ms.nl) or DataLinQ from Fysicon (www.fysicon.com). With the help of a PrinterSpike, printer data from all programmers on the trolley can be sent to one central PC for further processing. DataLinQ also offers the option of sending data to DataLinQ CRM, a Hospital Information System (HIS), or another database.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What standards do the carts comply with?
The carts are developed according to the standard for medical electrical devices NEN/EN/IEC 60601-1, with special attention to the electrical installation and stability.
Can I customize the trolley to my liking?
Yes, the carts have a modular design, which allows them to be completely assembled to customer specifications. A wide range of accessories is also available.
What models are available for this application?
The most commonly used models are the Flexx two 2G 43-100 and Flexx two 2G 43-150. For larger setups (4 to 6 programmers), there is the wider Flexx three 2G, which offers a better ergonomic working height. Another option is the Crozz two 2G 430, which can be equipped with a lockable rear door and monitor arms.
How is electrical safety guaranteed?
The carts are equipped with an isolation transformer, which allows all programmers to be safely and simultaneously switched on. The power cord, isolation transformer, and outlets must never come into contact with water or other liquids.
Are the shelves adjustable?
Yes, the carts can be equipped with adjustable drawers and shelves. The height of these parts can be set with an Allen key (size 5).
What should I pay attention to when using the trolley?
The cart is only suitable for indoor use. Use the cart only when it is in technically correct condition and when no parts are missing or damaged. Never connect equipment that is not on the cart.
How should I clean the trolley?
The manuals describe cleaning as part of the user instructions and maintenance. Please consult the relevant manual for the specific instructions and procedures.
