Endoscopic Emergency Cart - Equipment, supplies and workspace on one trolley

This endoscopic emergency cart, based on the modular concept of the Crozz three 2G 1000, is specifically designed to quickly move the necessary endoscopic equipment in emergency situations to locations such as the OR or the X-ray department. The cart is equipped with a Motor Drive System, which allows it to be maneuvered with minimal effort by one person, even with heavy equipment.

The Crozz three 2G 1000 is a wide base cart with two columns for drawers and shelves, and it complies with the strict standard for medical electrical devices (NEN/EN/IEC 60601-1), with special attention to the electrical installation and stability. The cart is equipped with a standard electrical installation, which can be expanded with a medical isolation transformer to ensure safety.

The configuration shown offers sufficient space and functionality for the necessary equipment, such as a light source and processor from various brands (Olympus, Pentax or Fujinon), an electrosurgical device (e.g., Erbe), a vacuum pump (Medela, Laerdal, etc.), a panel PC or view-along monitor, and a surgical monitor (Olympus, Eizo, NDSsi, etc.). In addition, there is a lot of storage space for a scope tray, disposables (such as ampoules and guidewires), medicines, rinsing water, and the endoscope. Thanks to the modular design, the cart can be expanded with a wide range of accessories, such as camera holders, bottle brackets, and height-adjustable monitor arms, for an optimal configuration. In case opiates are transported on the trolley, a drawer can be equipped with a code lock.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can this trolley be tailored to our requirements and wishes?
The Crozz three 2G 1000 trolley, like all Crozz and Flexx trolley models, is based on our unique modular concept. This means that you can completely assemble the trolley to your liking. To arrive at the optimal configuration, we are happy to discuss your specific wishes. We can then work out a proposal in the form of a detailed drawing, including the placement of equipment.

Is this trolley easy to drive?
Thanks to the four smoothly rolling swivel castors, the trolley is easy to maneuver. Since the trolley is often heavily loaded with equipment and supplies, it is important to pay extra attention to the ARBO guidelines. For better steerability during transport through the hospital, a castor with directional locking can be added. This facilitates steering, especially in bends. If the trolley is frequently moved, it is recommended to integrate an electric drive (Motor Drive). This allows the trolley to be moved effortlessly and steered accurately.

What is the best layout for equipment and supplies?
It is preferable to place the equipment on one side of the trolley, carefully considering the optimal position of each device. The processor deserves a higher place on the trolley, because the display and controls must be clearly visible and accessible. In addition, the cable of the endoscope is relatively short, which makes a higher placement even more logical. If a rinsing pump is used, it is recommended to position it as low as possible. In the event of leaks, this prevents liquid from getting onto other equipment. For the other devices, the operation and frequency of use determine the placement: devices that are rarely used can be placed lower, while frequently used devices are better placed in a higher, more accessible position. In all cases, ensure that displays are easy to read and buttons are easy to operate.

Because all equipment is placed on one side of the trolley, the other side remains available for storing supplies. This is more practical than distributing supplies over both sides, as it prevents the doctor or surgeon from unintentionally standing in front of a drawer during the procedure.

Is an adjustable long monitor arm necessary for the display?
Correct placement of the monitor is crucial to prevent endoscopy-related neck and back problems. Thanks to an adjustable monitor arm, the screen can be easily adjusted to the user's build and posture. A short checklist prior to the procedure helps to optimize ergonomics and limit physical strain. According to the ASGE guideline: the monitor is directly in front of the endoscopist, so that the head, neck and torso remain in one line; the top edge of the screen is at or just below eye level, with a viewing angle of 15–25 degrees downwards; the distance to the monitor is between 52 and 182 cm, so that you can look comfortably without tension on your neck or eyes.

What means can I use to clean the trolley?
When cleaning, use only a lightly damp cloth in combination with mild, non-aggressive household cleaning agents. Avoid using aggressive solvents such as alcohol, thinner or saline solutions, as these can damage the materials. Cleaning agents that are common in hospitals - such as 70% alcohol (aroma-free) with 0.1% chlorine - may be used, provided the instructions are followed precisely and the agent does not dry on the surface. Please note that the cart is equipped with electrical wiring. Therefore, avoid using excessive amounts of liquid, to prevent cleaning agent from getting into the installation. This can lead to malfunctions or even dangerous situations.

What is the best way to store my supplies in the trolley?
The trolley is standard equipped with a stand with space for four glove boxes and a shelf for transparent tilt bins. Thanks to the transparent design, the stock is visible at a glance. There are two drawers under the worktop. In case opiates are stored, these drawers can be equipped with a digital code lock. These drawers are also suitable for storing a keyboard, which is often used for entering patient data. Optionally, extra drawers can be added to the trolley, available in various heights. A flexible drawer divider is available for all available drawers, so that the layout can be adjusted to the user's wishes. For the neat storage of guidewires, there is a special high drawer with compartments.

Is there a possibility to illuminate the worktop with a small lamp?
This trolley is standard equipped with worktop lighting in the form of an LED lamp. Thanks to the wide light source, shadowing is reduced to a minimum. The lamp is directed downwards, provides sufficient lighting and does not bother the doctor or surgeon during work.

Is the trolley equipped with a power supply for the equipment?
The trolley is equipped with a fully integrated power supply system, including 12 C13 sockets for connecting various devices. Each connection has an earth potential equalization point. For optimal cable management, the trolley is equipped with an extensive system with cable channels in the side panels, cable ties on the back of the shelves and patch panels. For electrical safety, a medical isolation transformer can be placed at the bottom of the trolley. In addition, the trolley is equipped with a central main switch and supplied with a 5 meter long medical power cord with integrated potential equalization and molded plugs. The entire electrical system complies with the current NEN/EN/IEC 60601-1 standard.

The above mentioned applications are configurations based on our standard medical carts. These standard carts are modular in design, allowing to create any configuration according to customer specification. This means that the displayed cart configurations can be adjusted as desired. This includes for example removing or adding a shelf, bottle bracket or other components. In case a desired item is not part of our standard product range, it is also possible to deliver custom made parts. In this case we can design the required item, and produce this design for you. Please contact our sales department to discuss the possibilities.
