In the recent broadcast of the RTL4 program 'Het Antoni van Leeuwenhoek: Over Leven Met Kanker' (The Antoni van Leeuwenhoek: About Living With Cancer), viewers were given a unique insight into a complex surgical procedure that utilized Bcon Medical’s advanced navigation system. This system, a spin-out from the renowned Netherlands Cancer Institute (NKI-AVL), is designed to provide surgeons with ultra-precise 3D visualization during operations, particularly for advanced colorectal and lymph node cancer.
The footage impressively demonstrated how the system contributes to improving the accuracy of the procedure, which is essential for both the radical removal of the tumor and minimizing complications for the patient.
