Power failure? Reduce the risks
The loss of electricity in a hospital can be a serious threat to patients. During the short time needed to switch to emergency power, critical medical equipment can fail.
In case the backup power fails, a prolonged power outage can cause severe life-threatening situations. For example by failure of the ventilation equipment at the ICU. And -even worse- during an operation in the OR.
The risks from power outages at critical places, such as an OR or an ICU, can be reduced by applying local power systems. The medical grade Mobile Power System is such an emergency power system. Using this system, a common ventilator can run non-stop for 6 to 8 hours. The Mobile Power System is included as part of a medical cart and switches automatically to emergency power during a power failure.
